High Carbon Wire

High-carbon steel wire is made from high-carbon pearlitic steel and strengthened by drawing. Its main characteristics are high strength, high hardness, high elastic limit, and high fatigue limit, but its weldability and cold plastic deformation capacity are relatively poor. It is widely used in the manufacture of various mechanical springs, prestressed PC steel wire, and bridge wire.
